Kalina Walaski was born in Garner, North Carolina and has been anxious since she left the womb. Even as a baby she knew that there were big, scary things ahead. Growing up, she dedicated her time to her book club with Jenny and Jasper - her adoring cats. Her parents saw that they needed to get their shy, anxious, bookworm an outdoor hobby (and some human companions), and enrolled her in theatre camp. What could possibly be anxiety-inducing about getting in front of a hundred people and playing pretend?! Soon Kalina fell in love with storytelling, and her hobby became a career. Nothing is scarier than untapped potential, and she is fiercely committed, so once she accepted her love, the next logical step was to take the plunge and go to school in New York City. The investment was worth it. Since then, she has collaborated with other theatre-makers, connected deeper with herself, and made some top notch lattes - finished off with some top notch hearts - for some extra cash that she responsibly spent on theatre/movie tickets. Now she’s ready to star in the next horror classic or raunchy YA comedy - looking at you Netflix, Blumhouse, and HBO!
